Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through regular maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and maintain a safe and functional environment for all occupants.
Duties:
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Skilled technician or experienced maintenance worker to install, repair & maintain water systems, unclog drains, fix leaks and install plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers, water heaters) . Perform residential painting and other aesthetic improvements as required. Utilize schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including logic controllers. Maintain equipment using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory. Execute welding tasks as needed for structural repairs or modifications. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents. Operate tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Document all maintenance activities and report on the status of repairs to management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of residential painting techniques and materials. Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical systems. Proficient in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving tasks.
