The Maintenance Specialist will provide general maintenance support for both in and out of the facility, including preventative maintenance, record keeping, and repairs of machines and facilities. Responsibilities:
Completes minor equipment and facility repairs. Complies with and follows a regular maintenance schedule for maintenance of all buildings and equipment. Provides lawn care and snow removal not completed by a contractor at all agency locations. Follows designated work instructions as outlined for specific functions. Includes, but not limited to; PM work orders, continuous improvement tasks, and repair/refurbish assignments. Assists in moving furniture, office equipment, etc., as requested. Participates and completes monitoring of all major facility systems to include heating/cooling, water systems, and electrical systems. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment and helps to locate parts, supplies and materials Notifies supervisor when to reorder stock, repair or replace equipment. Tests building security systems and emergency preparedness. Operating fork truck and floor scrubber. Painting and light construction. Janitorial Document maintenance and repairs using CMMS. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Degree, or equivalent required. 2-year Associate Degree preferred. 1-5 years of related experience desired. Demonstrated experience with general carpentry and painting, with a proven track record of high-quality work. Must be able to solve problems and communicate professionally. Must be able to operate a computer and/or other office devices. Proficient with Windows, Excel, and Word. Familiar with typical hand and power tools, comfortable on ladders.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
Shift:
