ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for performing a variety of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the building, grounds, and equipment. This includes performing repairs, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and monitoring equipment for any potential issues. The job requires physical labor and the use of various tools and equipment. Must have a strong attention to detail, adhere to schedules and deadlines, and the ability to work independently. This individual plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
DUTIES:
Performing routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, facilities, equipment, and machinery. Performing basic landscaping and groundskeeping tasks. Assisting with renovations and construction projects. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and cleaning. Inspecting and maintaining building systems such as HVAC and plumbing. Handling basic electrical and carpentry tasks. Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. State and Federal regulatory compliance and reporting. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND TRAITS
Basic handyman skills. Knowledge of building maintenance. Ability to use power tools. Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems. Communicating effectively with team members and management. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions. Reliable. Organized. Detail-oriented. Adaptable. Qualifications
EDUCATION
This person at minimum should have a high school or equivalent education plus 2 5 years building maintenance experience or special training in the skilled trades from an accredited trade or vocational school plus 1 - 2 years of related experience.
BACKGROUND
Must be able to pass a background check.
