Industrial Watts, OK 1st Shift $18/Hour Job Details Our client is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Maintenance Worker to support daily operations in a busy parts and service shop. The Shop Maintenance Worker will report to the Parts and Service Managers and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while providing general support to shop personnel. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has good mechanical aptitude, and is willing to learn new skills. The Shop Maintenance Worker will assist with moving materials, cleaning work areas, unloading shipments, organizing inventory, light mechanical assembly, painting and preparation, and other general shop support duties. Key Responsibilities
Maintain general cleanliness and organization throughout assigned shop and work areas.
Assist parts and service personnel with a variety of daily support tasks.
Help with painting, preparation, housekeeping, and general shop maintenance.
Move materials, tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Assist with unloading shipments and organizing incoming materials.
Sort and inventory materials and supplies for the Parts and Service departments.
Operate hand tools and material-handling equipment when instructed.
Perform light mechanical assembly and other basic hands-on tasks.
Assist shop personnel with lifting and holding materials and tools.
Properly handle and manage hazardous waste generated within the assigned work area.
Follow verbal and written instructions, company policies, and internal procedures.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
Support other departments and team members as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts and Service Managers.
Qualifications
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Good common sense and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials and tools.
Forklift certification preferred, or willingness and ability to become certified.
Valid driver's license with an unrestricted driving record.
Good attendance and reliability are required.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and follow dealership dress and grooming standards.
