ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
include the following: Primary responsibility is to assist the and Facilities/Maintenance Team in maintenance & facilities work. Supporting production needs is the highest priority and may require extended hours, adjusted shifts or required overtime to ensure we meet our customer commitments. Assists in maintaining a weekly walk-thru list noting all facility supply needs and completes required checklists. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Maintains building and grounds by performing routine minor painting, plumbing, electrical, and other preventive maintenance. Performs a variety of carpentry functions. Minor maintenance for forging presses & furnaces. Weekly or monthly preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Material Handling:
Assist with scrap recovery activities. Occasional use of Forklift. Performs other duties as assigned. Accountabilities of All Employees Using your best efforts and full capability daily to the work assigned to you by your manager Advising your manager if you do not understand the work, they have assigned to you, or if the assignment does not fit with your knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time and resources. Advising your manager of any situations or obstacles that could keep you from accomplishing the work assigned to you. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing required paperwork etc. Participate in required meetings & trainings. Able to cross train into other departments as needed.
