Job Description
The Property Caretaker will play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Property Manager to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of our buildings and grounds. The areas under their responsibility include and are not limited to the Table in the Trees, winemaking facilities, Gatehouse, office spaces, and other key areas across the property. They will contribute to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and functionality, creating a safe and inviting environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires a passion for organization, attention to detail and will be a key contributor to the guest experience on property. Occasionally the Property Caretaker will assist the hospitality team with transportation needs during the high season. Primary Responsibilities ´ Perform daily maintenance of the property and facilities ensuring both the interior and exteriors are clean and organized. ´ Handle general cleaning duties, including trash removal, dusting, and cleaning of surfaces as needed. ´ Monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and replenish as needed, guaranteeing all areas are properly stocked for day-to-day operations. ´ Assist in minor repairs as needed, with prior approval from management. ´ Report any major repair needs or issues that require attention from management or external contractors. ´ Follow safety guidelines and use proper equipment and cleaning materials to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications ´ Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is preferred but not required. ´ Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ´ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. ´ Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and techniques. ´ Ability to perform basic repairs with guidance from management. ´ Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and organized property. Physical Requirements × Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving for extended periods of time. × Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Working Conditions Working conditions include office environment, processing facility, vineyard, garden, shop, headlands and woodlands.
