Job Description

SUMMARY:
Provide trouble shooting, repair, and preventative maintenance for the facility, Injection Molding Machines (IMM), and all auxiliary/support equipment. Perform facilities and machinery installations/upgrades to aid in the replacement/addition of machines and all auxiliary equipment. Facilitate in keeping a clean work environment and continual inventory of all stock parts and supplies. Systems work is as follows but not limited to: IMM, hydraulic, pneumatic, water supply, electrical, HVAC, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Understand Midgard's quality policy as it relates to your job
  • Interpret and utilize blueprints, manuals, diagrams and technical manuals
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment
  • Set-up and operate IMM, auxiliary/support equipment, torches, drill press, etc
  • Use basic shop tools, hand and power tools along with maintaining spare parts inventory
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and assist production if needed
  • Operate company vehicles as needed
  • Perform repair on plumbing, fixtures, and machinery, but not limited to air, water, hydraulic, electrical, etc
  • Attend training as required by management
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area at all times
  • Observe all company rules and regulations including safety, personal protection equipment, and Quality standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform duties satisfactorily and have factory experience. Good trouble shooting skills as well as knowledge of manufacturing operations at a production level. The ability to communicate effectively with management and fellow employees. Communicate and coordinate machinery down time in accordance with the needs of production. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required: EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent along with possession of a valid driver's license. Trades or Technical Training Certificate or equivalent is not required but will aid in work responsibilities. Adequate completion of MIDGARD's Forklift Training. Adequate completion of Lockout/Tagout Certification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must know how to read and write English, all paperwork requirements must be in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, set priorities and react to multi task situations in an efficient manner. Ability to listen, comprehend, and retain verbal and written instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift at least 55lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection will be provided if noise levels exceed OSHA decibel level.
