Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained, professional setting while developing your skills in facilities maintenance and custodial services. Responsibilities Take trash out from multiple properties across our portfolio and ensure trash rooms are emptied & cleaned for trash pick up days. Perform thorough cleaning duties across all areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks such as restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and floor care using appropriate equipment like buffers and floor polishers. Assist with general maintenance activities including minor repairs, painting, and touch-ups to keep facilities in optimal condition. Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized tasks such as deep cleaning of large spaces or equipment. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, offices, and outdoor spaces to create a safe and inviting environment. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests. Requirements Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or janitorial services with a focus on thoroughness and efficiency. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Ability to perform residential painting or basic repairs as needed for facility upkeep. Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
