Job Description

Maintenance Assistant (Temp) 129 Franklin Ave, Uniontown, PA 15401 $18 an hour - Full-time $18 an hour - Full-time At Uniontown Nursing and Rehab , we believe in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. We are seeking a dependable and versatile Maintenance / Transport Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety—helping keep our building in top shape while also assisting with the safe and friendly transport of residents to and from appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Maintenance Director with routine building repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance. Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, minor plumbing, equipment checks, and grounds upkeep. Drive residents on a need by need basis Assist the Transport Driver with safely accompanying and assisting residents to and from medical appointments, outings, or other destinations. Ensure residents are transported in a safe, timely, and respectful manner. Help with loading/unloading mobility devices and ensuring comfort during transport. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of company vehicles. Support emergency preparedness and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Prior maintenance experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Ability to perform light-to-moderate physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs. Clean driving record and valid drivers license in PA Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor when working with seniors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Why Join Us?
