Job Title:
Hotel Maintenance Technician /
Painter Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Hotel Maintenance Technician/Painter to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our hotel property. This position is responsible for performing painting projects, preventative maintenance, and general repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The ideal candidate has experience in painting, basic maintenance, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, patching, and wall repairs Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming Complete preventative maintenance tasks throughout the property Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, drywall, and other hotel assets Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs as needed Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas and storage rooms Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs Follow all safety procedures and properly use maintenance equipment and tools Assist with special projects, renovations, and property improvement initiatives Qualifications Previous painting and maintenance experience required Hotel, resort, or hospitality maintenance experience preferred Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and painting equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work on ladders and perform tasks requiring reaching and stretching Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
