NHC HealthCare Lexington is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our facility is safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our patients, residents, and staff. If you enjoy a dynamic workday where you can work both indoors and outdoors, tackle a variety of projects, and make a real difference in a healthcare setting, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Inspect, care for, maintain, and repair facility property, grounds, and equipment. Assist in planning and executing repair, maintenance, and new installation/construction projects. Perform routine groundskeeping and heavy custodial duties. Monitor facility systems, ensuring everything functions safely and efficiently. Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. What You Bring (Requirements & Skills) Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Familiarity with local building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations. Strong working knowledge of standard maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, including their proper care and safe usage. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb depending on the project. Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving. Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
