Department NSU-Facilities Crew Physical Location of Position (City) Aberdeen Posting Text Northern State University is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our facilities team as a Night Custodian in the Barnett Center. Full-time position working days (3pm- 11pm) Monday-Friday. Will be assigned general custodial duties in the Barnett Center and the new stadium. Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, emptying garbage, snow shoveling, lifting supplies. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, operate commercial cleaning equipment, and work with the public. Full benefits package, including excellent medical insurance, 11 paid holidays and three weeks' vacation to start.
Knowledge of:
  • Custodial and maintenance duties; and
  • Security procedures
  • Dealing with the public Ability to:
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Operate required cleaning equipment
  • Perform lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Climb stairs and use step ladders
  • Work with variety of cleaning/chemical products
  • Deal courteously with the public
