Hiring a Maintenance Worker to join our building maintenance team, who will help ensure the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of commercial and/or residential facilities by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Looking for the following skill set: painting, drywall repair, lighting, and general upkeep to prevent costly emergency repairs.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Worker Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Core Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance:

Inspecting HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical circuits, and machinery to identify issues before they fail.

Repairs:

Fixing plumbing leaks, electrical switches, broken doors/locks, drywall, painting surfaces and installing equipment and appliances. Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.

General Upkeep:

Replacing light bulbs, filters, and maintaining, according to the overall appearance of the facility.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensuring fire alarms, emergency exits, and security systems work properly and comply with safety regulations.

Exterior Maintenance:

Maintaining grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning.

Documentation:

Keeping records of maintenance tasks, repair requests, and inventory of supplies.

Typical Qualifications & Skills Experience:

At least one year of previous experience in building maintenance, repairs, or trade (carpentry, electrical, plumbing) is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Ability to use hand/power tools and read manuals or blueprints.

Physical Stamina:

Capability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Problem-Solving:

Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues quickly.

Collaborates:

Ability to communicate effectively with other maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors.

Certification:

A certification in building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician is a plus, but not required.

License:

Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. CDL license is not required but preferred.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
