  • Part-time Position Summary The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the hotel property.
This position supports the maintenance team in ensuring guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas are safe, functional, clean, and operating according to brand and company standards. The Assistant Maintenance Technician helps maintain a positive guest experience by responding promptly to maintenance requests and proactively identifying potential issues. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance Assist with the hotel's preventive maintenance program. Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment. Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Identify and report potential safety hazards or repair needs. Guest Room Maintenance Repair and maintain guest room fixtures and equipment, including:
HVAC/PTAC
units Plumbing fixtures Electrical outlets and lighting Doors, locks, and hardware Televisions and appliances Furniture repairs Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction. General Property Maintenance Assist with painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and minor construction projects. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage areas, and equipment rooms. Support landscaping and exterior upkeep as needed. Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks. Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA, fire safety, and company safety guidelines. Participate in emergency response procedures and hotel safety programs. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Team Support Work closely with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to address maintenance concerns. Communicate room status updates and repair timelines. Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations. Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required. Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or general maintenance preferred. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and kneel for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment. Work Schedule Thursday
  • Saturday 10am-6pm On-call availability may be required for emergency maintenance situations.
