Job Description

About the Role We're looking for an experienced and dependable Maintenance Lead Assistant to join our property management team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our apartment community in top shape — leading hands-on maintenance operations while supporting and mentoring a small maintenance team. If you take pride in your craft, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make a real impact on residents' daily lives, we'd love to hear from you. Must be HVAC certified. What You'll Do Perform and oversee repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems Lead, train, and coordinate a maintenance technician team to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively Manage unit turns — preparing vacant units for move-in, including painting, cleaning coordination, and punch list completion Respond to emergency maintenance requests on a rotating on-call schedule Communicate professionally with residents regarding service requests and timelines Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and equipment service history Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed Ensure the property is always safe, clean, and well-maintained What We're Looking For Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent communication and customer service mindset Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various conditions
