Job Summary:
Full-time position provides hands-on experience in a variety of public works operations, including water distribution, wastewater, street maintenance and other municipal services. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, works well with others, and takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
Assist with maintenance and repairs of water and sewer systems Perform street maintenance, including pothole repair right of way-of-way upkeep Operate and maintain equipment and tools Assist with utility related projects Respond to service requests and emergency situations as needed Follow all safety procedures and city policies Perform other duties assigned to support public works operation
Required Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license High school diploma or GED Provide current driving record Must pass pre-employment drug screening Must pass background check Proficient writing and verbal communication Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic, dependability and willingness to learn
