Construction Laborer / Maintenance Technician Spa Castle Texas is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Laborer / Maintenance Technician to lead facility maintenance and engineering operations as part of our exciting relaunch after 1 year of renovations! This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, water treatment systems, saunas, steam rooms, and general facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a world-class guest experience. This position will oversee maintenance staff, manage preventative maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the ongoing success of one of Texas' premier wellness destinations. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities. Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and facility uptime. Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pool, spa, and water treatment systems. Monitor building automation systems, pumps, boilers, filtration equipment, and other critical infrastructure. Ensure all facilities remain compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, environmental, and building code requirements. Conduct routine facility inspections and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings. Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and outside contractors for specialized maintenance projects. Coordinate facility renovations, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects. Maintain maintenance records, equipment histories, inventory, and work orders through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Support operational departments by responding promptly to maintenance concerns that impact guest satisfaction and safety. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance team. Qualifications 5+ years of maintenance management experience in hospitality, resorts, wellness facilities, water parks, large commercial properties, or similar environments. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems. Experience with aquatic facilities, pool operations, water treatment systems, or related infrastructure is highly preferred. Familiarity with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, motors, pumps, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and team development abilities. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, life safety systems, and facility compliance requirements. Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations and support a 24/7 operation as needed. Preferred Qualifications Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or facility maintenance. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent experience. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
