Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the maintenance operations of residential communities by assisting with repairs, inspections, and preventative upkeep. Your energetic approach will help ensure our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in facilities maintenance while contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and carpentry to uphold property standards Support the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals Conduct inspections of apartment units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance Use tools such as Ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs Maintain accurate records of work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Assist with residential painting projects and minor welding tasks as needed Support supervisory staff in coordinating maintenance schedules and supervising junior team members when required Qualifications Basic electrical experience and mechanical knowledge are essential for troubleshooting various systems Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and facilities maintenance procedures Previous experience in residential or facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in team settings Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately Knowledge of CMMS software for work order tracking and maintenance documentation Hands-on experience with welding, painting, and general repair techniques is desirable Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters confidently Join us if you're passionate about maintaining high-quality living environments! Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
