Full Job Description Maintenance Assistant Job Description Purpose:

As an ESCFederal Maintenance Assistant it is required to assist the Janitorial Maintenance Manager in guiding and directing the activities of all ESCFederal employees assigned to the property; maintenance-housekeeping-building systems. This is done to ensure consistent Quality, Profitability and Total Customer Satisfaction. The Maintenance Assistance will support, consult, and inform the ESCFederal Project Manager in charge of the assigned property contract.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Ø Assist the ESCFederal Project Manager in completing and coordinating work orders. Ø Provide hands on maintenance/janitorial tasks as necessary to complete facility maintenance/janitorial obligations of the property to include HVAC, Plumbing, Fire/Life Safety, Electrical & Lighting Repairs, Floor/Sidewalk Repairs, Drywall/Painting, General Property Repairs, Litter Control, Pressure Washing, General Cleaning, etc. (Property scope of work will dictate required obligations) Ø Must be available to work off hours when needed. Ø Aspire and hold oneself to the Company Mission-Vision-Purpose-Value statements.

Required:

Must have a valid Driver's License and must pass MVR check Ø Understanding and applied experience of Janitorial Services and general maintenance aspects. Ø Be a problem solver. Ø Be visionary and proactive. Ø People skills Ø Keep open lines of communications. Ø Familiarity with Local, State and Federal employment laws.

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years responsibility in areas of maintenance. The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions orally and in writing. Will accept related military experience of comparable levels.

Physical Demands:

Sits, stands, bends, kneels, climbs stairs, ladders, and equipment; has good sense of balance to work on heights. Some lifting of medium and/or heavy equipment and tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Some exposure to hazards or risks. Heat, noise, dust and dirt, areas requiring environmental controls or access limitations. Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress. Work's hours necessary to maintain facilities in a safe manner including nights and weekends.
