THIS JOB IS TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, 7
30 AM TO 4:30 PM. The Maintenance Assistant functions to trasport residents to and from local doctor appointments and to maintain and repair the equipment, operating systems, structure, and grounds of the residence. The Maintenance Assistant is also responsible for coordinating, as assigned, with outside vendors for parts ordering and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance. Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform daily walkthrough of the entire residence, grounds, and parking area to check building upkeep, appearance, safety of common areas, and proper operation of equipment
  • Assist with work orders from resident TELS and completes tasks as assigned
  • Schedules maintenance and bids for repair to jobs outside of their scope
  • Provide oversight of work performed by outside vendors to ensure it is completed in a timely fashion and in the agreed upon and/or contracted manner
  • Assists with regular checks of all required building and safety systems and equipment
  • Assists with the records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
  • Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude when interacting with residents, customers and co-workers
  • Drives residents to the doctor and scheduled appointments
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director Customer service
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers Residents' rights
  • Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights Training
  • Attend training sessions as directed by supervisor Other

  • Experience in senior care work setting required
  • HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge
  • Basic carpentry and repair skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Acceptable motor vehicle check

POSITION SUMMARY
The Company Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of patients, residents, members, and/or employees to and from the service location during approved activities to pre-determined destinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Operates the service location's vehicles in a safe manner when transporting patients, residents, members, and/or employees; 2. Assists patients, residents, members, and/or employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicles; 3. Ascertains safe arrival to the destination; 4. Maintains route and mileage logs; 5. Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels; 6. Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the service location manager immediately; 7. Makes certain that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van; 8. Interacts in a positive manner with patients, residents, members, and families as a representative of the service location; 9. Performs other duties as requested.
