Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian/Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks to create a welcoming and well-maintained environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our facility. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards Carry out floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to support facility improvements Perform industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large equipment in designated areas Conduct general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, fixing fixtures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Support porter responsibilities by moving furniture or supplies and maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a focus on commercial or industrial cleaning environments Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and scrubbers safely and effectively Experience with residential painting or basic maintenance tasks is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks comfortably Join us in creating a clean, safe, and inviting environment!
