Maintenance Worker Extended Stay America - Round Rock Round Rock, TX Job Details Full-time 5 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Pool maintenance Appliance repair Locksmithing Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Summary The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the hotel's rooms, facilities, equipment, and common areas to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and functional environment for guests and employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, guest rooms, and common areas. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff. Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, locks, and other building-related issues. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways, exterior areas, and equipment. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to help prevent breakdowns and costly repairs. Maintain swimming pool and other hotel facilities, as applicable. Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Assist with painting, drywall repairs, light carpentry, furniture repairs, and general upkeep. Follow all safety procedures and report hazardous conditions immediately. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Qualifications Previous hotel, apartment, building, or general maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. Ability to use common hand and power tools safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed. Work Environment This position requires working both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, cleaning products, and mechanical equipment. Proper safety procedures and protective equipment must be used at all times.
