Posted 08-Jul-2026 (MST) 173 West 685 North, Cedar City, UT, USA 21.84 per hour Hourly Full Time Cedar City Parks and Outdoor Facilities is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Parks Maintenance I position: Job Closes July 22, 2026. Performs a variety of duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance, upkeep and repair of parks and outdoor recreation facilities, grounds and general environment. Works under general supervision performing general building maintenance; assures proper operation of lighting fixtures, doors, windows and plumbing; may assist in framing, painting, roofing or other skilled construction and maintenance activities related to carpentry, plumbing, and electrical; performs concrete and masonry work. Assists with proper maintenance and repair of playground equipment. Assists in cemetery maintenance, clean up and digging of graves. Assists in the installation of irrigation systems. Operates lawn mowing equipment; assists in pruning activities on trees, shrubs and plants; removes dead, diseased, or injured trees. Performs general landscape and gardening duties, including watering and maintenance of potted plants and shrubs. Prepares ball diamonds, operates various small equipment to turn soil; chalks field boarders; assures lawns are trim and attractive. Operates a variety of types of small and lightweight equipment. Minimum Qualifications may include sufficient education and experience to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform above and related duties. Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.
