Back F/T Temporary Building Maintenance Light Industrial Salt Lake City , UT temp Jun 29, 2026 Job Summary The Maintenance Technician will support property operations at our Homeless Resource Center. Under the supervision of experienced staff, this position is responsible for general facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and support of operational logistics. Key Responsibilities 1. Property Maintenance Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor construction (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.). Clean and prepare rooms and facilities as needed. Assist with a preventive maintenance program. 2. Shop Management Help manage inventory and organize maintenance tools and materials. Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations. Keep workspaces clean and organized. 3. Vehicle & Equipment Operation Safely operate agency vehicles and equipment. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning. Track tool and equipment condition and replacements. 4. Transportation Duties Transport, load/unload, and install household goods, appliances, and other items using agency vehicles. 5. Other Duties as Assigned Assist with any other operational or facilities-related tasks as needed. Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years preferred in one or more of the following: HVAC Carpentry or construction Plumbing or electrical Mechanical or automotive work Skills and Abilities Strong work ethic, flexibility, and interpersonal communication Ability to work independently within a social service environment Must be insurable on the agency vehicle policy Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and Housing First philosophy preferred Able to work respectfully with diverse populations Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Physical & Equipment Requirements Must be able to lift 50+ pounds Must be able to operate agency vehicles Capable of meeting physical demands of maintenance tasks Apply Now Share This Post
