Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Worker, where your skills and enthusiasm will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of systems, equipment, and infrastructure across our facilities. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will ensure a safe, functional environment that supports our team's success. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical work, or mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality quickly and safely. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automated systems and improve operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset histories. Assist with residential painting projects and other facility upgrades to enhance the environment's appearance and safety standards. Supervise or collaborate with team members on complex projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed while meeting deadlines. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related manufacturing environment with hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades. Strong knowledge of schematics, technical diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures for various systems. Skilled in welding techniques and electrical work; familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately; experience with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools is essential. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work activities and collaborate with team members. Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in maintenance settings is preferred. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus; previous customer service experience can be beneficial for interacting with internal clients. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, or in confined spaces safely.
