Job Description

General Statement of Duties Responsible for general site maintenance of assigned recreation and park facilities, including custodial services, opening and closing responsibilities, basic park inspections, and general building and equipment inspections for the Division of Recreation and Parks; performs other duties as assigned. Essential Duties Basic knowledge of equipment and cleaning compounds, chemicals, and products used in the cleaning and care of buildings and grounds; knowledge of grounds maintenance practices; ability to keep records and prepare reports; ability to request necessary equipment and cleaning materials in writing. Basic computer skills with ability to use typical business software and proprietary systems for completing assigned tasks. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing; ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with staff and the public. Ability to understand and follow instructions, policies, and procedures; makes sound decisions independently; strong organizational skills with ability to complete tasks accurately and on time. Non-supervisory; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team; may assist in training temporary staff. Works indoors and outdoors; may work in various locations based on assigned duties; may assist with cross-training activities. Visual and hearing acuity sufficient to perform assigned duties; physical ability to lift and push heavy objects, climb ladders, stoop, reach, and work under adverse temperature and weather conditions. Additional Information Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
