Job Description
Are you looking for a steady, hands-on outdoor job where every day brings something new? Join our Highway Maintenance Team and play a key role in keeping area roadways safe, clean, and well‑maintained. If you enjoy physical work, being outside, and working with a solid crew - this could be the perfect fit. This position reports to our South Prince George, VA office. Our crews work on roadways in the area handling a wide variety of roadway maintenance tasks. What You'll Be Doing Trimming and cutting trees and vegetation, including seasonal clean-up Weed eating, blowing, herbicide application, and general groundskeeping Repairing boundary and property fences and guardrail components Cleaning stormwater drainage structures, slopes, and road shoulders Grinding sidewalks, pressure washing, and removing graffiti Installing and replacing roadway signs Filling potholes and patching cracked pavement Litter and debris clean-up Setting up safe lane closures using cones and traffic control devices Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Overtime as needed On‑call rotation for emergency after‑hours work with a take‑home truck and paid overtime when responding What We're Looking For 23+ years old (due to insurance policy coverage requirements) Valid United States Driver's License with a clean MVR. Ability to pass required background, MVR, and drug & alcohol screenings.
