Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dependable Temporary Maintenance Help to join our facilities team. In this role, you will assist with a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks across our building and equipment systems. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for all users. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintenance operations while supporting a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Assist with repairs involving building interior and exterior (fencing, play structures) components using power tools. Support carpentry, painting, and other facilities maintenance tasks to uphold building standards. Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of facilities equipment following safety protocols. Assist with basic grounds and landscaping maintenance Support supervisory staff in coordinating maintenance projects and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Requirements Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, working at heights, or in confined spaces safely. Comfortable working around canines of all breeds and sizes. Basic carpentry experience. Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools. Strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors. Duration and Hours Position is expected to be needed through November 2026. Available hours are 7am-3pm M-F, with an occasional need for a later shift, depending on the project. Applicants can expect 4 shifts per week minimal. Willing to discuss scheduling needs on an individual basis.
