Where Children and Adults are Nurtured. Do you thrive in the great outdoors and enjoy hands-on work? Our farm school is looking for a Maintenance Team Member to join us in caring for our beloved animals and keeping our grounds and campus beautiful. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference, we want to hear from you! We'd love to learn more about you if… You are eager to contribute to the upkeep and beauty of our farm school's 5-acre campus which includes three main buildings, an event area, gardens, farm animals and protected wetlands. You are available to work 8-hour shifts, Thursday through Monday, 7:30am - 4:15pm (with a 45 minute lunch). You have a passion for animal care and enjoy working hands-on with farm animals and classroom pets, ensuring their well-being and health. You are comfortable operating basic maintenance equipment, and you hold a valid driver's license. You can perform manual labor outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions. You are able to complete repetitive motor movements such as walking, climbing, stooping, and lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials. You can navigate uneven outdoor terrain for limited periods in various mild to moderate weather conditions. You are capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. The job responsibilities for a Maintenance Team Member entail... Repair & Maintenance of the interior and exterior of all MCH buildings and event facility; including but not limited to emptying trash, refilling water stations, moving furniture, pressure washing, cleaning roofs and gutters, and interior cleaning when necessary. Repair & Maintenance of all MCH outdoor areas, playgrounds and animal spaces; including but not limited to waste removal, feeding animals, repairing fences and cages, moving trash cans, weeding, pruning plants, raking and blowing leaves, and shoveling snow as needed. Ensure grounds and curb appeal are maintained to MCH standards. Operate a side-by-side vehicle to transport materials, equipment, and staff safely around campus. Minor construction projects as directed. Inform Facilities Manager of any observed safety concerns or campus repair needs. Purchasing parts and materials as directed by facilities manager. Assist with occasional community events and fundraisers which occur outside of normal weekday school hours. Other duties as assigned.
