Full Job Description Supervisor:

Lead Engineer Hotel Indigo is seeking a part-time engineer to add to our team. This schedule is very specific, working Tuesday and Wednesday each week, with the possibility of Thursdays. This position is covering days off for our Lead Engineer. Qualified candidates will have prior maintenance experience, and must be well versed in basic plumbing, painting, minor electrical repairs, drywall repairs and deep cleaning. While our facility does not have any groundskeeping, power washing sidewalks and some exterior facade cleaning will be periodically required. Interested candidates MUST submit a resume detailing relevant work history, to be considered.

Recognize and take action on any safety or loss prevention incidences that may cause damage, injury, or other liability to individuals or company property. Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security. Complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety. Ensuring that all OSHA, State, and Federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed. Keeping safety in mind in all things. Practice good time management skills, completing preventive and routine maintenance according to schedule. Schedule work consulting with management for scheduling. Maintain proper records of all maintenance issues including preventative maintenance. Complete all work orders on time keeping all rooms in service. Maintain a proper level of inventory and keep storage areas and tools clean and organized at all times. Maintain grounds as required, trash removal, parking lot maintenance, landscaping, lighting, and curb appeal. Inspects fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems monthly. Identify and respond to any alarms, determine emergency status and report to the front desk or manager on duty. Walks the property daily and makes note of any repair or maintenance issues that are yet to be addressed, prioritizing them with preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance issues. Monitor energy conservation and make recommendations for improvements. Work with other departments to ensure room status is up-to-date and room repairs are done on a timely basis. Responsible for key control. Issues and receives both room keys and master keys. Have basic knowledge of how to operate computer equipment, including Microsoft Office suite. Participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment. Holds an understanding of hotel products and services (i.e., food and beverage, recreation) Performs other duties as assigned.
