Full Job Description Hours:
Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs all necessary cleaning and maintenance functions to keep the Independent facility as a model for the industry. Establishes preventive maintenance regimens and successfully maintains all equipment. Cares for Independent grounds as seasons dictate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies a preventive maintenance program for all production equipment. Cleans and lubricates machinery. Maintains all material moving and waste disposal equipment, including all forklifts, balers, and mechanical loading docks. Maintains and controls all heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment in the facility. Inventories and maintains all lawn/yard equipment including lawnmowers, snowblowers, and tools. Troubleshoots and repairs machinery. Arranges for service to equipment they are unable to repair. Performs electrical and plumbing repairs including the replacement of all light bulbs. Develops and maintains schedules and logs for all maintenance. Inventories various tools and related items. Maintains the plant security system. Participates in and contributes to scheduled department meetings. Is knowledgeable of and follows safety procedures. Completes open up/lock up duties as necessary per the established schedule.
Pay:
$26.00 - $34.00 per hour
