Maintenance Mechanic Schedule:
Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Weekend Requirement:
Yes, required to participate in rotation.
Holiday Requirement:
Yes, required to participate in rotation.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic position sets up, adjusts, and maintains assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality on equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and take corrective action. Make necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Review and perform scheduled maintenance. Test equipment to check operation. Try out equipment after repairs or extended downtime. Examine, test, and measure assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and recording data on appropriate forms. Check for visual defects. Make preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor, and take appropriate action. Examine defects and analyze causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyze and record cause on daily report. Inform supervisors in details of daily schedule, standard operating procedures, and requirements. Notify maintenance supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed. Instruct and direct any maintenance trainees assigned. Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 3+ years of related experience preferred. Must hold and maintain a valid, current driver's license. Must be MBMC insurable. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Intermediate proficiency with computers required. Knowledge of general mechanics required. Must be adept at using a variety of tools to work with mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and follow instructions. Ability to operate related power equipment. Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
