Job Summary:
Bell Tower Residence is seeking a dependable and skilled maintenance technician to assist with the overall maintenance and repair of our facility and grounds. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, strong problem-solving abilities and a positive team-oriented attitude. ____________________
Compensation:
Starting at $20.00 per hour (rate determined by experience)

Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the facility. Assist with preventative maintenance programs. Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment. Maintain safe and efficient operation of the building and grounds. Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls as assigned. Participate in on-call rotations as needed. Support compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Assist with annual maintenance planning and ordering of supplies. Work collaboratively with administration and department staff. Participate in staff meetings and required training programs Help ensure resident safety during emergency situations, including evacuations if needed. ____________________
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record Ability to complete all required State of Wisconsin CBRF training within 90 days of employment. Must be able to read, write and communicate in
English Preferred:
Minimum of 3 years of building maintenance experience and/or other technical training Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, boiler and hot water systems, ventilation and refrigeration systems, painting and drywall repair, lawn equipment, carpentry and masonry repairs.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Ability to read blueprints and technical documents Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in emergencies Strong teamwork and customer service skills Physical requirements: Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing and reaching. Use of maintenance tools and equipment Exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise, chemicals and outdoor conditions
Work Environment:
Employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals, electrical hazards, moving equipment, confined spaces, ladders, roofs, crawl spaces, outdoor weather conditions and boiler room environments.
