Job Description

Job Summary:
Big Sand Lake Club is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the Club's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position is responsible for assisting with general maintenance tasks, basic groundskeeping, and outdoor property upkeep. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing physical labor, working both independently and as part of a team, operating outdoor power equipment, and using ladders when necessary to complete assigned tasks safely and effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and upkeep of Club buildings, facilities, and surrounding property. Assist with basic groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, and general outdoor cleanup. Operate outdoor power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools in a safe and effective manner. Complete routine repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned. Help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of walkways, outdoor spaces, work areas, and common areas. Use ladders safely to perform maintenance tasks at elevated heights when needed. Move materials, tools, furniture, supplies, and equipment as required for maintenance projects or Club events. Identify maintenance concerns and report repair needs, safety hazards, or equipment issues. Follow all safety procedures and use equipment and tools properly. Provide support for special projects and additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required. Ability to safely work from a ladder when necessary. Ability to operate outdoor power equipment. Basic knowledge of groundskeeping, general maintenance, and property upkeep preferred. Prior maintenance, landscaping, or related experience is preferred but not always required. Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and complete tasks with attention to detail. Dependable attendance and willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical labor on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy items. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, reaching, and working from a ladder.

Compensation:
$16.80-19.00/hour. Pay range is flexible for qualified candidates
