STREET MAINTENANCE WORKER-STREETS

City of Watertown has a great opportunity for an individual that is looking to advance in his/her career with the Streets Division. This is a Full Time General Laborer position responsible for routine manual work and the operation of equipment in the performance of various public works construction and maintenance activities. Will be part of the team to operate various size tandem and single axle dump trucks with snow removal equipment, solid waste cross training, single axle utility trucks, compacting equipment, pavement saw, stump grinder and mowing equipment etc. Will operate air compressor, hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance related equipment. Commercial Driver's License required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Preferred experience:

road construction, snowplow driving, light equipment operation. Must be able to lift 60 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Benefits package includes but is not limited to: paid vacation, sick, compensatory pay, medical, dental, vision, Wisconsin Retirement System, Flex Spending, Deferred Compensation and regular working hours. This is a full-time hourly position with hours as listed below: Scheduled hours 6:30am to 2:30 pm Monday•Friday Weather, emergency, or department need will require night and weekend availability.
