Job Description
Job Summary St. John's is seeking a full-time custodian/maintenance worker. Our Campus Care team plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in all our facilities. This position offers the opportunity to help create a positive experience for everyone who enters our facilities. Duties Carrying out routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces. Using necessary machinery for performing floor care procedures such as scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing. Repair equipment and furnishings at St. John's facilities, such as tables, desks, and chairs Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; notify management of supply needs or equipment malfunctions. Ensure a safe working area following safety protocols. Requirements Experience with commercial cleaning environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, changing light bulbs, cleaning filters. The ability to multitask with organization skills to perform cleaning or maintenance projects efficiently. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, left heavy objects, and operate cleaning equipment for extended periods. Good communication skills with a team-oriented attitude and the ability to follow instructions. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude in an encouraging environment, in which we care and share in Christ! The full-time position hours fluctuate throughout the year and is an hourly wage based on experience. Join us in creating a clean safe space for our community.
