Job Description

As a maintenance staff member, this position plays a vital role in ensuring the facilities at Cacapon Resort State Park are kept in good shape and its amenities in working condition. Three shifts are available, Morning (7am-3pm), (8am-4pm), and Evening (3pm-11pm) . Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisors, this position performs routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and resolves maintenance problems effectively. Utilizing skills in maintenance of facilities, mechanical knowledge, handyman experience, and customer service with an emphasis on hospitality, this position helps ensure a safe and working environment for guests and other staff alike. Nature of Work Resolving routine maintenance issues including but not limited to: Changing the battery of a fire alarm, fixing small leaks, resetting breakers, troubleshooting hardware issues, moving heavy objects. Assisting guests including but not limited to: Retrieving firewood, lighting fires in a fire pit, directing guests to lodge amenities, ensuring safety standards and policies are followed, wobble range clay shooting range safety. Landscaping and grounds work including but not limited to: leaf removal, snow removal, sidewalk upkeep. Working on projects including but not limited to: Carpentry jobs, electrical work, HVAC and boiler upkeep, renovations and remodeling. Helping other park departments including but not limited to: Stripping beds and transporting linens to assist with housekeeping, assisting front desk with guest issues, communicating effectively with managers and supervisors regarding pertinent issues. All other duties as assigned
