Job Description

Work Location:
Weirton, WV Work Schedule:
Part-time (up to 28 hours/weekly) This position is responsible for: Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing, shoes and accessories. Loads and unloads trucks, lifting heavy objects on a regular basis. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, safety and security of the warehouse area. Assists the Building Maintenance Worker as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates automatic baler machine that loads and fluffs clothes to secure solid bales of clothing with wire. Operates forklift to transport bail to storage truck. Reads meters to verify weights of bales. Examines metal detector and wrapping mechanism for defects. Unloads trucks of donated items that are delivered to the warehouse daily. Recycles and keeps cardboard boxes organized for use with the baler machine. Stores shoes in storage areas.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull objects (up to 50 lbs.). Moderate mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.; and two (2) years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State Driver's License.
