Maintenance and Custodial Worker Currently accepting applications.

Qualifications and Expectations:

Ability to fix and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.

Tasks:

plumbing work painting flooring upkeep electrical repairs heating and air conditioning system maintenance Must possess necessary janitorial skills and knowledge Keep parish and school buildings and campus in clean and orderly condition.

Duties include:

cleaning floors, rest rooms, stairwells, washing walls and windows lawn care removing all rubbish notifying supervisor of need for repairs set-up and tear down for school/parish activities cleaning snow/debris from all sidewalks and all outdoor areas subject to foot traffic (e.g. steps, ramps, etc.) Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks without supervision Familiarity with cleaning/janitorial equipment and supplies and safe use practices Ability to pass background screening/drug testing Willing to undergo Safe Environment training and certification Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Perform additional duties as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position is primarily day shift but will require a willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, evenings and/or weekend hours. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, push or pull heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds. Duties will require frequent bending, kneeling, stooping. Industrial cleaning products are utilized. Some work does require time out-of-doors in cold/warm temperatures and during times of precipitation.

Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
