Job Description
Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health (CLCPH) is hiring a General Maintenance Assistant in our Operations Division to join our amazing team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The heart of public health is the community we work to protect. For Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health (CLCPH), that community is Laramie County. As a general maintenance assistant, you will: Assist with light maintenance repairs within CLCPH such as paint surfaces, patch holes, fixing doors, cabinets, locks, or hinges, replace water fountain filters, etc. Replace lightbulbs and outlet covers (non-licensed electrical tasks only). Keep walkways clear of debris or hazards. Perform basic seasonal groundskeeping (e.g., clearing walkways of snow, sweeping entryways, weeding) and assist with garbage/recycling collection if needed. Help assemble office furniture, hang shelving, and assist with moving equipment or supplies between rooms. Conduct quarterly safety inspections and maintenance on vehicles, trailers, and ATV fleet. If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following skills and experience: Valid driver's license High School diploma/GED required. One to two years of years of experience in general handyman or facility maintenance. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
