Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a safe and functional environment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems. Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Utilize electrical experience to diagnose and fix electrical issues. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functions. Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Execute residential painting projects as required. Supervise maintenance staff when necessary, providing leadership and guidance. Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with staff and clients. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance roles with a focus on manufacturing or facilities maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate tools and equipment effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. Experience in welding techniques is preferred. Electrical experience is essential for troubleshooting electrical systems. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Previous supervisory experience is an asset for leading maintenance teams. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Proficiency in English for effective communication within the workplace. Knowledge of using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is beneficial.
