Greenway Health and Rehabilitation Greenway Health and Rehabilitation is hiring a Maintenance Director to oversee all facility maintenance operations at our skilled nursing facility in Grand Bay, Alabama. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the building, equipment, and grounds are safe, compliant, and operating at a high level. We are looking for someone who understands healthcare environments and takes ownership of their building. Responsibilities Oversee daily maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and life safety regulations (including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and National Fire Protection Association standards) Maintain preventative maintenance programs and required documentation/logs Conduct routine inspections of the building, systems, and grounds Manage maintenance staff and coordinate with outside vendors Respond to work orders and urgent maintenance needs quickly and efficiently Support facility readiness for state surveys and inspections Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors Qualifications Experience as a Maintenance Director in a skilled nursing facility, assisted living, hospital, or similar healthcare setting preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Understanding of Life Safety Code and regulatory compliance in healthcare Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience preparing for or participating in surveys is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Supportive leadership team Stable, full-time opportunity in a well-run facility If you are a reliable, hands-on leader who takes pride in keeping a building running the right way, we want to hear from you.
