As our Maintenance Supervisor, your primary focus is improved safety, process/reliability improvement, and reduction of maintenance costs.

Base salary + production bonus Comprehensive medical benefits 401k with company match Profit sharing and company stock options College/higher education tuition reimbursement plan (for employee and dependent children) Responsibilities Tracks abnormally high maintenance cost assets and determines ways to reduce associated losses and/or high costs, prioritizing efforts on the largest/most critical opportunities. Performs root cause analysis and facilitates implementation. Develop standard work procedures for maintenance department, including preventive maintenance, repairs and setup of equipment, and trains others to perform these activities. Help develop design and installation specifications and commissioning plans for new equipment. Participates in the development of criteria for evaluating equipment. Works with production team to analyze assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), remaining useful life, parameters that define operating condition, and reliability. Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel. Immediately advises site leadership of any significant maintenance problems causing or having the potential to cause delays or shutdowns of operations and works expediently toward resolving issues. Ensure appropriate staffing and maintenance coverage for all production shifts including hiring, training, and development of new or current maintenance teammates. Qualifications
REQUIRED
3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience. Ability to develop training material and train others to perform precision maintenance. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet all required deadlines. Good understanding of safety and the desire to follow all established procedures. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in engineering. Candidates with 3-5 years of previous supervisory or team leader experience. Previous reliability, engineering, electrical and/or mechanical training, certification, or experience is a plus. Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
