Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Staff member, where your skills and proactive approach will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems across our facilities. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs to maintain facility infrastructure. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage to prevent leaks or failures. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated system management and troubleshooting. Oversee maintenance activities in manufacturing or facilities environments with a focus on safety and efficiency. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules. Supervise or assist with residential painting projects as needed to uphold facility aesthetics. Lead or support team members in maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership and customer service skills. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong understanding of electrical equipment repair, HVAC system repair, plumbing maintenance, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures for electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies and equipment management. Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and accurately. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Supervising experience or leadership capabilities are a plus for guiding junior staff or managing small teams.
