Job Description
Maintenance ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a proactive, experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance and facilities teams, ensuring reliable operation of equipment and safe, efficient facility conditions. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, supervision of technicians, development of maintenance programs, and continuous improvement of reliability, with a strong emphasis on PLC troubleshooting and systems integration.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset lifeSupervise, mentor and schedule maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to safety protocolsTroubleshoot, program, and repair PLC systems, control panels and related automation components to minimize downtimeOversee facility maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to maintain a safe and compliant environmentCoordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize disruptions and optimize resource allocationManage spare parts inventory, procurement and vendor relationships to support efficient maintenance operationsImplement continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practicesEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and maintain accurate maintenance documentation and recordsPrepare and manage maintenance budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on maintenance performance to leadershipQualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred, or equivalent experience5+ years of progressive maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial roleHands-on experience with PLCs, industrial control systems, and automation troubleshooting (programming and diagnostics)Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills across facility and production equipmentProven experience developing and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs and reliability initiativesFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance documentation best practicesExcellent leadership, communication and team-building skills with a focus on safety and continuous improvementAbility to read electrical and mechanical schematics, and to work flexible hours including on-call support as requiredRelevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, CMRP, PLC vendor certifications) are a plus
