Full Job Description Maintenance Supervisor Location:
Bakersfield, CA Compensation:
$36.00-$40.00 per hour ($75,000-$83,000 annually, excluding overtime) This position offers the opportunity to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance personnel, maximize equipment uptime, and drive preventive maintenance initiatives to support efficient production. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate combines strong technical maintenance expertise with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years of maintenance supervision or lead experience Background in food, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance management systems Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Technical Expertise Candidates should have experience maintaining and supporting: Packaging and conveyor equipment PLCs, sensors, and automation controls Industrial electrical and mechanical systems Air compressors, HVAC systems, and water utilities Ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred) Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily maintenance activities Train, mentor, and develop team members Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies Coordinate contractor activities and capital improvement projects Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement efforts Reduce downtime through proactive troubleshooting and maintenance planning Benefits of the Opportunity Leadership role with direct impact on plant operations Stable manufacturing industry Combination of technical work and team management Opportunity to drive reliability and process improvements Overtime earning potential Exposure to advanced manufacturing and automation systems All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
