Operations & Maintenance Supervisor Private Organization - 4.5 Burbank, CA Job Details Full-time $38 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Life insurance Qualifications PLC-based control system operation Microsoft Outlook Electro-mechanical components Team supervision Safety regulations Energy control procedures Operations Driver's License Decision making Electrical maintenance Hazardous energy control Full Job Description The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision, coordination, and performance of maintenance personnel supporting airport systems at Burbank International Airport. This includes Passenger Boarding Ramps (PBR), Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Checked Baggage Inspection Systems (CBIS), and associated control systems. The Supervisor ensures all assigned maintenance and operational activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements, performance standards, and airport policies. This role acts as the first line of leadership on shift, ensuring technicians are aligned with priorities, safety rules, and preventive/corrective maintenance schedules. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily O&M activities and ensure all work is executed according to safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Assign and monitor technician work orders through the CMMS, ensuring accurate entry and timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings covering safety topics, work assignments, and operational updates.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of airport systems and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to lockout/tagout, confined space, PPE, and other OSHA safety requirements.
  • Verify work quality and documentation for all PM, CM, and emergency maintenance actions.
  • Monitor parts usage, report shortages, and assist with spare parts inventory management.
  • Train, coach, and mentor technicians to build competency and promote professional growth.
  • Report shifts performance, incidents, and delays to the O&M Manager and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with airport stakeholders, operations teams, and contractors to minimize downtime and maintain system availability.
  • Support the implementation of site policies, attendance standards, and disciplinary processes as directed by management.
  • Lead by example in promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance, preferably in an airport, baggage handling, or material handling environment.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of electromechanical, PLC, and conveyor or PBR systems.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or similar.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, electrical and mechanical safety procedures, and lockout/tagout compliance.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, or holidays as required by operational needs.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements. Competencies and Attributes
