We're looking for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping equipment running, facilities organized, and operations moving efficiently. About the Position The Head of Maintenance & Facilities is responsible for the reliability, maintenance, organization, and operational readiness of all production equipment, machinery, tools, and facility assets. This is more than a maintenance technician position. You'll own the maintenance program for our manufacturing facility by developing preventative maintenance schedules, improving equipment reliability, organizing company assets, coordinating vendors, and supporting production through proactive maintenance planning. This position works closely with our Warehouse Operations Manager, Production Engineer, and Executive Vice President to help ensure SafePath operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. What You'll Do Preventative Maintenance Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules. Inspect and service production equipment. Maintain maintenance records and service logs. Reduce equipment downtime through proactive maintenance. Recommend equipment improvements and replacements. Equipment Reliability Troubleshoot mechanical issues. Respond to equipment breakdowns. Coordinate repairs. Support production during equipment failures. Improve equipment uptime and reliability. Facility Maintenance Maintain the warehouse and production facility. Perform building repairs and preventative maintenance. Coordinate outside contractors and service providers. Maintain lighting, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and facility systems. Support facility improvement projects. Safety & OSHA Compliance Conduct routine facility inspections. Maintain OSHA and Cal-OSHA readiness. Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Identify safety hazards and corrective actions. Promote a safe work environment. Tool & Asset Management Organize maintenance and warehouse tools. Maintain tool inventory. Develop check-in/check-out procedures. Recommend new equipment purchases. Ensure tools remain in excellent condition. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Maintain maintenance logs. Create maintenance SOPs. Track equipment performance. Recommend process improvements. Assist leadership with budgeting for repairs and capital equipment. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills. Strong communication skills. High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing experience. Welding and fabrication experience. Electrical troubleshooting. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Industrial presses and production equipment. Forklift certification. OSHA safety knowledge.
