City of Industry, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $29 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Employee relationship building CMMS Operations planning Full Job Description SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting maintenance activities at the assigned manufacturing facility. This position serves as the primary administrator of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and is responsible for maintenance planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory coordination, and maintenance project support. The Maintenance Coordinator works closely with maintenance personnel, operations leadership, vendors, and contractors to ensure maintenance work is properly planned, resourced, documented, and completed efficiently to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers and maintains the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and maintenance history. Plans and schedules preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Works with the supervisor to coordinate maintenance labor, contractors, downtime, and resources for scheduled work. Supports development and improvement of preventive maintenance programs. Sources parts, materials, supplies, and maintenance services. Obtains vendor quotes, prepares purchase requisitions, and coordinates purchasing activities. Maintains inventory records and critical spare parts stock levels. Tracks maintenance expenditures and supports budget administration. Assists with coordinating maintenance projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements. Generates maintenance reports and tracks KPIs, including PM completion, downtime, backlog, labor utilization, and reliability metrics. Maintains equipment files, manuals, warranties, permits, drawings, and maintenance records. Supports root cause analysis through maintenance data and documentation. Partners with operations, engineering, safety, and maintenance teams to schedule work and minimize disruptions. Supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and cost control. Ensures maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, CMMS administration, purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS Language:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, equipment documentation, vendor quotations, purchasing records, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with employees, vendors, contractors, and management.
Computer:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required. ERP experience preferred.
Reasoning:
Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple maintenance activities simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to analyze maintenance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Other:
Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and time management skills required. Excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external vendors.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), APICS, or equivalent certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
