Role:
The Parts Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of vehicles and machinery by expertly managing and installing the necessary parts. This position involves communication with Maintenance and Mechanics, assisting in diagnosing mechanical issues, and sourcing the correct components to maintain optimal functionality. The role requires a thorough understanding of automotive or machinery systems and the ability to work with a variety of parts and tools. The successful candidate will contribute to minimizing downtime and enhancing the reliability of equipment through precise and timely interventions. Ultimately, this role supports the overall productivity and safety of operations by maintaining high standards of mechanical integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a mechanic or in a related technical role involving parts management. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and parts identification. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited automotive or mechanical technical program. Experience with computerized inventory management systems. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in mechanical repair. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Previous experience working in a parts-focused mechanic role.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate parts needed for repair or replacement. Order, receive, and manage inventory of parts to ensure availability and proper stock levels. Install, repair, and replace parts on vehicles or machinery following manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Collaborate with other mechanics and service personnel to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate records of parts usage, repairs performed, and service documentation.

The required skills enable the mechanic to accurately identify and source the correct parts needed for repairs, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and to high standards. Proficiency in reading technical manuals and diagrams supports precise installation and replacement of components.
